These Terms of Sale apply to purchases made through www.kirimegan.com.
The website is operated by Kiri Megan, an individual entrepreneur based in France. BRAVE AND BOUGIE is a brand of Kiri Megan.
By placing an order through this website, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms of Sale.
1. PRODUCTS
BRAVE AND BOUGIE creates hand-decorated candles and decorative objects. Kiri Megan also sells greeting cards and original artwork through www.kirimegan.com.
Each hand-decorated candle is individually finished by hand. Small variations in colour, motif placement, shape and finish may therefore occur. These variations are a natural part of the handmade process and are not considered defects.
Product photographs are intended to provide an accurate representation of the products. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen and display settings.
Please read the product descriptions and any safety information provided with the products before purchasing.
2. PRICES
All prices are displayed in euros.
The price applicable to an order is the price displayed on the website at the time the order is placed.
Delivery charges are shown separately during checkout before the order is confirmed.
Kiri Megan reserves the right to change prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.
3. ORDERS
By placing an order, you are submitting an order to purchase the selected products.
An order is confirmed once payment has been successfully received and an order confirmation has been sent by email.
Kiri Megan reserves the right to cancel an order in exceptional circumstances, including where a product is unavailable, where there is an obvious pricing or technical error, or where a transaction appears fraudulent.
Kiri Megan is a small independent business and there may occasionally be periods when orders cannot be processed within the stated processing time, for example during holidays or temporary periods of unavailability. Where this occurs, customers will be informed as soon as possible and, if the order cannot be fulfilled within a reasonable timeframe, will be offered the option of cancelling the order for a full refund.
If an order is cancelled after payment has been received, the amount paid for the cancelled order will be refunded.
4. PAYMENT
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.
An order will only be processed once payment has been successfully authorised.
5. HANDMADE PRODUCTS
BRAVE AND BOUGIE products are produced and finished by hand in small quantities.
Because each product is individually decorated, no two hand-decorated candles are necessarily identical. Differences in motif placement, colour distribution and finish are part of the handmade nature of the product.
6. PROCESSING AND DELIVERY
Because BRAVE AND BOUGIE candles are hand-decorated, orders generally require 3–7 business days for processing before dispatch.
Estimated delivery times after dispatch are:
France: 2–4 business days
European Union: 2–8 business days
United Kingdom: 2–8 business days
These are estimated delivery times and are not guaranteed delivery dates.
Current standard delivery charges are:
France: €8.80 for orders under €150
European Union: €22 for orders under €150
United Kingdom: €12 for orders under €150
Orders of €150 or more qualify for free standard shipping.
Delivery times may be affected by circumstances outside Kiri Megan's reasonable control, including carrier delays, strikes, customs procedures, extreme weather and other events beyond reasonable control.
For deliveries outside the European Union, the recipient may be responsible for customs duties, import taxes or other charges imposed by the destination country.
7. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
For standard products purchased online, consumers in the European Union generally have a legal right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without having to give a reason, subject to the legal exceptions described below.

You must communicate your decision to withdraw within the applicable 14-day period and return the goods without undue delay.
Unless otherwise required by law, the cost of returning the goods is the responsibility of the customer.
Products should be returned in an appropriate condition and the customer is responsible for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
8. PERSONALised AND CUSTOM PRODUCTS
The legal right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made according to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised, where the legal conditions for this exception are met.
This may include candles or other products individually customised at the customer's request.
Standard BRAVE AND BOUGIE products selected from the website are not considered personalised simply because they are handmade.
Where a product is specifically made or personalised for a customer, this will be communicated before the order is confirmed.
9. REFUNDS
Where a valid right of withdrawal is exercised, Kiri Megan will refund the payments received, including the standard delivery cost paid for the original delivery, in accordance with applicable law.
The refund will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless another method has been agreed.
Kiri Megan may withhold reimbursement until the goods have been returned or until the customer provides evidence that the goods have been sent back, whichever occurs first.
10. FAULTY OR NON-CONFORMING PRODUCTS
Nothing in these Terms of Sale limits the consumer's legal rights.
If a product arrives damaged, defective or does not conform to the contract, please contact kirimegan@gmail.com and provide your order number and, where appropriate, photographs of the issue.
Consumers benefit from the legal guarantees applicable under French and European consumer law, including the legal guarantee of conformity and the guarantee against hidden defects.
11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Purchasing a product does not transfer copyright or other intellectual property rights in the artwork, design, photography or imagery associated with that product.
All original artwork, product designs, photographs, illustrations, text and other creative content remain the property of Kiri Megan unless otherwise stated.
12. CONSUMER MEDIATION

Information concerning the designated consumer mediator will be provided in accordance with applicable French consumer law.
13. APPLICABLE LAW
These Terms of Sale are governed by French law.
Where the customer is a consumer residing in another country of the European Union, this choice of law does not deprive the consumer of any mandatory protections that apply under the laws that cannot be contractually excluded.
